Green Grass

Earlier today I posted on Facebook results of a non-scientific poll the Today Show did.  They asked moms to text their response to the following question...If you could go back and do it all over would you choose a different spouse?  An alarming 66% said they would.  66%!!!!  Often in life, especially as moms, we see other people's lives and we covet something they have.  Their big house, nice car, Spirit-filled husband, well-behaved kids, but the 10 Commandments tell us, "Do not covet your neighbor's wife (car, house, kids)."  In other words, keep your eyes on your own paper!!!  Awhile back I was reminiscing about our time in England.  I was thinking about how much easier and quieter life was then, how much greener the grass was on the other side of the pond (well with all the rain what do you expect).  Sometimes we just need to look down and realize that if we tend to the patch we are standing on it will be just as green, if not more so.  If we give it a good soil foundation, water it, mow it and give it a little sun, ya know, love on it a bit, then we can have a yard we are proud of.
