BAH!!!!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year.  What's not to like?  Food, presents, family, pretty lights, parties.  I love everything about it.  Except this year.  This year I can't, for the life of me, find my Christmas spirit.  It was here just a few weeks ago and now it is gone.  It didn't disappear in a puff of smoke, it has slowly, piece by piece drifted away.  I didn't put it away for safe keeping, it just sorta fell out of my pocket bit by bit.  And now...gone.  My tree is only half decorated, there stands a lone, wooden Grinch in my front yard and that completes my Christmas decor.  I haven't wrapped a thing.  I haven't bought what I need.  Some of what I did buy has to go back.  I have been sick for a month, Bug  broke his ankle, Bear had a concussion and now has the flu and Cubby has been gone. BAH HUMBUG!

But...there is hope for me (and you) yet...

Sure Charlie Brown, I can tell you what Christmas is all about. Lights please?
And there were in the same country shepherds, abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them! And they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, “Fear not! For, behold, I bring you tidings o great joy, which shall be to all my people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ, the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” And suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the Heavenly Host praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the Highest, and on Earth peace, and good will toward men.
That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.
Here's hoping the true meaning of Christmas finds us ALL this year.  God bless us EVERYONE!
